Dance Arts Studio is proud to include the AMERICAN BALLET THEATRE® National Training Curriculum, a breakthrough 9 level program that combines high quality artistic training with the basics of dancer health and child development. The ABT® National Training Curriculum consists of a comprehensive set of age-appropriate, outcome-based guidelines to provide the highest quality ballet training to dance students of all ages and skill levels. 

 

Pre-Primary through Level 5 will be taught by ABT® Certified Teacher, Gina DeCroix Russell; and Level 1 through 5 will be taught by ABT® Certified Teacher, Julie Ratz; who have both successfully completed the ABT® Teaching Training Intensive in Pre-Primary through Level 5 of the ABT® National Training Curriculum.

 

In June of 2021, Dance Arts Studio Owner/Director Gina DeCroix Russell achieved the status of Affiliate Teacher with AMERICAN BALLET THEATRE® after presenting students who successfully passed the National Training Curriculum Student Examination with ABT®. Feedback from ABT® examiner Susan Brooker noted that our students completed "very well prepared work with good pedagogical choices made in regard to appropriate training exercises for this group of students, their age and ability. On the whole, the students were strong, well limbered, musical and coordinated with a mature quality of movement."

 

Dance Arts Studio offers option for students who wish to participate in ABT®NTC Student Examinations through our studio company, Dance Arts Youth Company (DAYCO).
